Course 3 | Peatland restoration and management
Course assignments
Farm assignment – Students have to analyze the site emissions of each farm in peatland by making use of Site Emissions Tool (SET).
Bank assignment – Peatland bank is a dedicated partner of the university. The bank recently initiated a bank library to support knowledge creation and sharing of sustainable financing. You are invited to visit the Peatland Bank to explore the barriers and opportunities of the development of the EU emission trading system (EU ETS).
Shop visit – Students are invited to the shop in Peatland and compare CO2 compensation initiatives such as ‘Trees for all’ and ‘Plant een boom’, from an economic perspective. It is recommended to use course literature for the final report.
