Course 1 | Introduction to peatlands
Learning outcomes
On completion of the course students will:
- Have an understanding of the anatomy and ecosystem services of intact peatlands;
- Be able to describe the ecological, economic and social importance of peatlands;
- Be able to describe the ecological, economical and social effects of peatland degradation due to drainage to enhance modern agriculture.
